Dojo Sparring Equipment List
Participants in Dojo Ministries are allowed to participate in Sparring Hour after the usual session so long as certain conditions are met and maintained:
-Sufficient training has occurred (this includes training that has taken place outside of Dojo Ministries).
-Participants must have proper sparring weapons and protective gear.
-Sparring etiquette and safety are adhered to at all times.
As a measure of safety, Dojo Ministries does not permit full contact sparring. Equipment and conduct must reflect this at all times. Failure to do so will result in suspension from participating in Sparring Hour.
-All headgear must have a face shield that completely covers the face.
-Gloves must cover the entirety of the hand and fingers.
-Sparring weapons must have sufficient give/flex and thickness so as to absorb and alleviate impact imparted onto a training partner.
-Boxing Gloves and Shin-guards must be worn for any empty hand sparring.
-Recommended equipment.
